3 THOUSAND MACKEREL CAUGHT
In the Turkish district of Sinop, fisherman Erol Büyükbaş, who set out to sea with his boat, returned to the port after catching approximately 3 thousand mackerel in the first mackerel catch of the season. Büyükbaş, who fished in the open waters of Turkish, brought his catch to the Güzelkent Fisherman's Shelter in the district in the morning hours.
MACKEREL SEASON HAS STARTED IN THE BLACK SEA
Thousands of mackerel caught in the nets indicate that the mackerel season has begun in the Black Sea.
Erol Büyükbaş, who stated that the season started late, said, "We caught approximately 3 thousand fish; these are the first mackerels of the season. The season started late, but we hope that it will continue."
While some of the fish were sold to wholesalers, the remaining part met consumers in local markets.
