Tokyo shares end slightly lower Thursday following a drop in the overnight U.S. stocks market. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 56.81 points, or 0.37 percent, from Wednesday at 15,138.96. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 4.07 points, or 0.33 percent, at 1, 232.34. Decliners were led by consumer finance, oil and coal products and nonferrous metal issues. The turnover was about 1,773.0 billion yen (about 16.52 billion U.S. dollars). (Cihan/Xinhua)
