Traffic Accidents Caught On Security Cameras

The Erzincan Police Department released some security camera videos showing recent traffic accidents in the city on Thursday.

The videos show majority of the accidents took place at the junctions. Fortunately, no one was killed in the released accidents.

In one of the accidents, two cars collided each other since they both violated red light. In another accident, a car was hit in the back on the red light.

A total of 3,524 people died in 1.199 million accidents across Turkey in 2014, a Turkish Statistics Institute (TurkStat) report revealed last month. According to TurkStat, 168,512 of the accidents that took place in 2014 resulted in death or injury, while the others only involved material loss.
