US President Donald Trump stated that he warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to take counter-steps that could disrupt nuclear negotiations with Iran.
President Trump evaluated the agenda regarding nuclear negotiations with Iran at a ceremony held in the Oval Office. Trump expressed that the talks with Iran are going well and that he hopes for a positive outcome from them.
WARNING TO NETANYAHU ABOUT IRAN
In response to a question, "Did you warn Prime Minister Netanyahu during your phone call last week not to take steps that could hinder the talks with Iran?" he answered, "To be honest, yes, I did."
Trump did not go into details about how he warned Netanyahu and left questions on this matter unanswered.
"WE CAN REACH AN AGREEMENT WITH IRAN IN THE COMING WEEKS"
Trump, who said, "We are having very good talks with Iran. We will see what that means, but right now our discussions are going well," indicated that he believes an agreement could be reached with Iran in the coming weeks.
