According to an announcement published on the U.S. Congress website, Seval Öz, a former executive with experience in autonomous driverless vehicles, has been nominated for a newly established deputy secretary position at the U.S. Department of Transportation.
The application has been submitted to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation from the state of California. The committee is expected to hold a confirmation hearing on Friday, March 14, to decide on Öz's nomination.
