The Turkish Statistical Institute has announced the death and cause of death statistics for the year 2024. Accordingly, the number of deaths was 526,416 in 2023, while it was determined to be 489,361 in 2024. Men accounted for 54.8% of the deceased, while women made up 45.2%. The province with the highest crude death rate was Kastamonu, with 10.4 per thousand, while the province with the lowest rate was Hakkari, with 2.2 per thousand.

DECREASE IN THE NUMBER OF DEATHS

THE LOWEST RATE IS IN HAKKARI
The province with the lowest crude death rate was Hakkari, with a rate of 2.2 per thousand. It was followed by Şırnak with 2.4 per thousand and Van with 2.9 per thousand.
