Prestige Mall, which opened in Turkey for the first time with a luxury and boutique concept, closed its doors in August due to management issues and challenging economic conditions. A large residential project is planned to be built on the site of Prestige Mall. The Russian capital company MSFD A.Ş. is preparing to put the shopping mall land up for sale.
The global economic crisis has led to the bankruptcy of many companies in Turkey, and a massive shopping mall has also been added to the list.
CLOSED ITS DOORS IN AUGUST
Prestige Mall Shopping and Life Center, located in the Gölet area of Bahçeşehir district in Istanbul and operating continuously for 18 years, officially closed its doors in August due to management issues and challenging economic conditions.
RESIDENTIAL PROJECT ON THE MALL'S LAND
While uncertainty continues regarding the future of the shopping center, new claims have emerged about the future of the land in question. It has been reported that the shopping center land, owned by MSFD A.Ş. and operated with Russian capital, is being considered for sale. Rather than continuing to use the existing structure as a shopping center, a new residential project is planned to be built for the area. It is stated that buyers intend to transform the shopping center land into a large housing project.
SOME TENANTS HAVE NOT LEFT THE MALL
Despite the closure of Prestige Mall, some tenants refuse to leave the mall. Tenants who have taken this situation to court have requested that a court decision be awaited for the mall's doors to be locked. This process is delaying the complete closure of the shopping center.
