Turkey's Top Business Association Underlines Independence Of Judiciary

Erkut Yücaoğlu, the president of the Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen's Association's (TÜSİAD) High Advisory Council stated that judiciary should be independent and objective in its all activities at a meeting attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Erkut Yücaoğlu, the president of the Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen's Association's (TÜSİAD) High Advisory Council stated that judiciary should be independent and objective in its all activities at a meeting attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

High Advisory Board of the TÜSİAD was held at Four Seasons Hotel on Thursday with the participation of top government officials, including Erdoğan. Speaking during the event, Yücaoğlu pointed out independence of judiciary in the country.

“As the necessity of a rule of law, each institution in the country should be supervised by the judiciary. The government should give individuals the assurance of law. An unstable rule of law norms may lead to continuation of many sad event in the country,” said Yücaoğlu in his speech.

Commenting on the new constitution, Yücaoğlu said freedom of expression, belief, conscious and enterprise should be taken into account.
