Two PKK terrorists were killed in a counter-terrorism operation in eastern Turkey on Wednesday after three soldiers were injured in a rocket attack, the local authority said.
A statement from the office of Agri province's governor said two terrorists were also injured in the army operation.
Earlier, a rocket attack on an armored vehicle patrolling the Dogubayazit-Gurbulak highway near Karaburun village resulted in the soldiers being treated in hospital. The governor's offfice said Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorists were thought to be behind the attack.
Turkey's military and police have been hit by a number of attacks over the past week following the Daesh-linked suicide bombing in Suruc, Sanliurfa province, that killed 32 people on July 20. - Ankara
