Turkish EU Minister Visits Strasbourg

Turkish European Union (EU) Minister and Chief Negotiator Volkan Bozkır will hold several meetings with European Parliament (EP) and Council of Europe (CoE) parliamentarians in Strasbourg and Brussels during his four days visit.

Arriving in Strasbourg on Tuesday Minister Bozkır met with EP members Ernst Maragall, Head of Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D) EP Vice President Alexander Graf Lambsdorff, EP Presidetn Martin Schulz, CoE Secretary General Thorjon Jagland and with President of Venice Commission Gianni Buquicchio. The minister did not make any statements to the press members after the meetings.

After the meetings at the EP, Chief Negotiator Bozkır is to attend to the meeting with Turkish NGO representatives and press members as a guest of Turkey's Ambassador to Strasbourg Serdar Cengiz.
