Turkish military destroyed 19 PKK targets, including weapon pits and shelters of the terror group in four airstrikes in northern Iraq and southeastern Turkey in the last 24 hours.
In a statement released Wednesday, Turkish General Staff said the strikes were carried out in Hakkari province's Cukurca district and northern Iraq's Zap region.
Air operations were also carried out in Hakkari's Yuksekova and southeastern Diyarbakir province's Hani-Lice.
Since it resumed its armed campaign in July 2015, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU -- has been responsible for the deaths of approximately 1,200 security personnel and civilians, including women and children. -
