Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has reiterated his country's support for Tunisia, the Tunisian Foreign Ministry said Monday.
Speaking during a meeting with visiting Tunisian Foreign Minister Monji Hamdi in Ankara on Monday, Davutoglu said that planned parliamentary and presidential elections in Tunisia would crown the country's democratic transition, the ministry said in a statement.
According to the statement, Davutoglu and Hamdi discussed a host of bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Tunisia is slated to hold legislative elections later this month, to be followed by presidential polls on November 23.
Hamdi arrived in Turkey on Monday for a two-day visit for talks with Turkish officials.
