On Monday, Erdogan called early elections after the Justice and Development Party (AK party) led by Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu failed to reach an agreement with other parliamentary parties to form a coalition government within the time allowed by the country's constitution.

According to the statement, Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek and Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci will retain their posts in the new cabinet.

Turkish PM Says to Present Interim Government to Erdogan on Friday
Member of the opposition Nationalist Movement Party Tugrul Turkes was appointed deputy prime minister.

Several pro-Kudrish opposition members were given high posts in the Turkish interim government. People’s Democratic Party member Muslim Dogan was named development minister, while Ali Haydar Konca became Turkey’s EU minister.

Ali Riza Alaboyun will become the country’s new energy minister.
