Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday will pay a one-day visit to France.
Erdogan will meet his French counterpart Francois Hollande to discuss a number of regional issues. One important topic will be Turkey's proposal to set up a safe haven between Turkey and Syria, and another will beTurkey's tender for a long-range missile defense system.
The French President has already expressed his country's support of the idea of no-fly zone and safe haven on the border between Turkey and Syria in order to protect refugees coming from Kobani.
On Oct. 10, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and his French counterpart Laurent Fabius signed a two-year cooperation roadmap, which covered political, economic, security and cultural fields.
