Two doctors working at Üsküdar State Hospital in Istanbul, who were detained on the grounds of allegedly demanding additional fees for surgical procedures from patients coming for examination, have been arrested.
As part of the investigation initiated by the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding doctors G.Ö. and C.G., who were detained on the grounds of allegedly demanding additional fees unlawfully for surgical procedures from patients who came for examination at Üsküdar State Hospital, their procedures at the police have been completed.
THEY WERE ARRESTED
The suspects brought to the Anatolian Courthouse were referred to the duty magistrate court for arrest after their statements at the prosecutor's office. The court decided to arrest both suspects.
THEY DEMANDED 'BRIBES' FOR SURGERY FROM PATIENTS
The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office initiated an investigation against doctors G.Ö. and C.G. working at Üsküdar State Hospital on the allegation that they unlawfully demanded additional fees for surgical procedures from patients who came for examination, and in this context, the two doctors were detained on charges of "bribery".
