British Princess Anne Elizabeth is currently visiting Ethiopia in her capacity as president of the "Save the Children" charity, the charity's Ethiopia branch said Tuesday.
"The princess is here to visit different projects being undertaken by Save the Children and to commemorate the unification of seven Save the Children organizations of different countries," Getachew Dibaba, spokesperson for Save the Children Ethiopia, told Anadolu Agency.
"Her presence has a significant value to the overall endeavors of the organizations towards the wellbeing of children," Dibaba added.
The 63-year-old princess arrived in the Ethiopian capital on Monday, where she met with Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome.
The princess has been the head of the U.K.-based charity since 1970.
She is due to leave Ethiopia for Tanzania on Wednesday.
