United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and World Bank President Jim Yong Kim will visit Ethiopia on Monday for a two-day visit, an African diplomat has said.
The two officials will hold talks on a host of issues, including projects currently being carried out by the two institutions in Ethiopia, the diplomat, preferring anonymity, told Anadolu Agency.
According to the diplomat, the U.N.'s Ban will meet Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn to discuss relations between the U.N. and Ethiopia and various conflicts on the African continent.
The U.N. chief will also meet with African Union (A.U.) Commission Chairperson Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, with whom he will discuss African conflicts and the Ebola outbreak that has claimed thousands of lives in West Africa, the diplomat said.
Meanwhile, the World Bank's Kim will meet with Ethiopian officials to discuss bilateral cooperation and loans extended by the international lender to the Horn of Africa nation.
Kim is also slated to meet with Dlamini-Zuma during his visit.
