UN Special Coordinator for Middle East peace Robert Serry arrived in Gaza on Sunday.
"Serry arrived through the Erez crossing [with Israel]," Maher Abu Sabha, the director of the Gaza Strip border crossings, told The Anadolu Agency.
He is expected to hold talks with different parties on the reconstruction of the blockaded coastal enclave.
The UN envoy last visited Gaza in December when he met with several Hamas and UN officials to discuss the reconstruction of the blockaded coastal enclave.
Several top world figures, including UN Secretary-General Ban Ki moon, have visited Gaza since Israel's 51-day onslaught on the enclave in mid-2013.
In July and August of last year, more than 2,160 Palestinians, mostly civilians, were killed – and some 11,000 injured – during the Israeli war on Gaza.
The Israeli offensive left behind a trail of massive destruction of homes, hospitals, schools and public facilities.
