Ten people were injured, including six policemen, by a Wednesday bomb blast near Cairo University west of the Egyptian capital, the Interior Ministry has said.
"Six policemen and four other people were moderately injured by the blast, which went off in Nahda Square near Cairo University," the ministry said in a statement.
Earlier, Health Ministry official Mohamed Sultan had told Anadolu Agency that only five people had been injured by the blast.
There has been no claim of responsibility for the attack.
In April, a similar bombing near Cairo University killed a senior police officer and injured five others.
The attack was subsequently claimed by the shadowy Agnad Masr ("Egypt's Soldiers") group, said to have links with Al-Qaeda.
