Three more people died Thursday after an overturned gas truck exploded on Turkey's southeastern Diyarbakir-Bingol highway late Monday, bringing the death toll to nine.
Gulhan Tartik, 34, Hasim Bozoba, 43, and Yasin Aksit were pronounced dead by state hopitals in Gaziantep, Elazig and Adana respectively.
Leaking gas from the overturned carrier caused an explosion after the accident leading buses and several passing vehicles to catch fire on Diyarbakir-Bingol highway, initially leaving 65 people wounded, Diyarbakir Governor Mustafa Cahit Kirac had told Anadolu Agency.
