At least five Houthis were killed by a car bomb in Yemen's central Al-Baydaa city on Tuesday, eyewitnesses have said.
"A car bomb struck a Houthi headquarters, killing at least five people," one eyewitness told The Anadolu Agency.
Fifteen others, he said, had been injured.
According to witnesses, militants sprayed the headquarters with gunfire before the car bomb struck the building.
Yemen has remained in a state of chaos since last September, when the Houthis took over capital Sanaa, from which they have sought to extend their control to other parts of the country.
In February, the Houthis issued "a constitutional declaration" dissolving parliament and establishing a 551-member transitional council.
The declaration, however, was rejected by most of Yemen's political forces – along with some neighboring Gulf countries – which described it as a "coup against constitutional legitimacy."
