Warplanes from a Saudi-led coalition staged three airstrikes against concentrations of Shiite Houthi militants in Yemen's eastern province of Shabwah and southern Aden province, sources have said.
Strikes targeted Houthi concentrations in Shabwah's Usaylan directorate, where the Shiite group had engaged in clashes with armed tribesmen, tribal sources told The Anadolu Agency, requesting anonymity.
A Houthi-affiliated television channel confirmed the air raids, but neither of the two sources revealed whether there had been any casualties or material damage.
Elsewhere, sources with a southern separatist movement said that a coalition airstrike had targeted a Houthi patrol in the Al-Alam district on the outskirts of Aden after the latter tried to enter the city from the adjacent Abyan province.
The airstrike caused "serious damage" to the patrol, the sources said, without stating whether it had left any human casualties.
Saudi Arabia says the strikes, now in their fifth consecutive day, are in response to appeals by embattled Yemeni President ABD Rabbuh Mansour Hadi to "save the [Yemeni] people from the Houthi militias."
Some Gulf countries accuse Shiite Iran of supporting Yemen's Houthi insurgency.
