US House Majority Leader Backs Any Israeli Decision On Retaliation Against Iran

US House of Representatives Majority Leader Steve Scalise expressed strong support for Israel on Monday after Iran's attack over the weekend.

In a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Scalise said he supported "any decision that Israel makes in light of the Iranian attack," according to Netanyahu's office.

In return, Netanyahu thanked Scalise and made it clear that Israel would do everything necessary to defend itself.

Scalise also informed Netanyahu of his initiative to advance in Congress in the coming days a series of measures against Iran.

Iran on Saturday launched an airborne attack on Israel in retaliation for an April 1 airstrike on its diplomatic compound in the Syrian capital. It reportedly fired more than 300 drones and missiles, with almost all intercepted by the air defense systems of Israel and its allies – the US, France and the UK. -
