Wall Street closed mixed Wednesday as falling crude prices were offset by gains in tech companies' stocks.
The Dow Jones lost six points to end the day at 20,661.
The S&P, however, added four points to close at 2,348 and the Nasdaq rose 27 points to finish at 5,821.
Tech companies helped the S&P and the Nasdaq close the day in the positive territory.
Snap, the company that founded multimedia messaging application Snapchat, saw its shares increase 7 percent.
Twitter stock price rose 3 percent, while both Apple and Microsoft shares gained 1 percent each.
Crude prices, on the other hand, reached their lowest points in the past four months after weekly crude inventories in the U.S. rose more than market expectations.
At the final bell, American benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was trading at $48.16 -- a 0.2 percent loss. International benchmark Brent crude was at $50.74 -- a 0.5 percent decline. -
