A new development has occurred regarding the ceasefire agreement reached between Israel and Hamas in October 2025. CEASEFIRE AGREEMENT IN GAZA

U.S. President Donald Trump announced a 20-point plan aimed at ending the war in Gaza on September 29, 2025. The plan foresaw a mutual prisoner exchange, a permanent ceasefire, Israel's withdrawal from Gaza, the establishment of a technocratic government, and the deployment of an international stabilization force.

In this context, the first phase of the ceasefire agreement came into effect on October 10, 2025, following the war that began on October 8, 2023.

In the conflict, more than 71,000 Palestinians lost their lives, over 171,000 people were injured, and approximately 90% of the civilian infrastructure was destroyed. The United Nations estimates the reconstruction cost to be around 70 billion dollars.
