Officials said all 165 workers who were trapped inside a burning mine on Tuesday in central Sweden have been evacuated.
Local Swedish media reported that the fire broke out 800 meters below ground inside the mine in the small town of Garpenberg in central Sweden.
A container carrying plastic that caught fire began the incident and an investigation is being carried out, according to authorities.
It is unclear whether anyone has been injured, according to Marcela Sylvander, communications chief at the Boliden Mineral AB mine in Garpenberg.
