The Yemeni parliament on Sunday decided to summon the country's defense and interior ministers to answer questions on attacks launched by U.S. drones inside the country.
"Parliament has the right to ask the government about the drone attacks, which violate Yemen's national sovereignty," MP Ali Abu Haliqa, Chairman of the parliament's legal and constitutional committee, told Anadolu Agency.
A majority of the 301-member parliament endorsed a request to summon the two ministers to appear before the legislature on Thursday.
A number of suspected Al-Qaeda elements were killed in a drone attack in the southern province of Abyan earlier today.
Ten suspected Al-Qaeda elements and three civilians were killed in a similar strike in the central province of Al-Bayda a day earlier.
