Three children of South African President Jacob Zuma and a cousin were injured in a car accident on Friday in the city of Pietermaritzburg.
"The Presidency wishes the family all the best during this period and wishes the children a speedy recovery," presidential spokesman Mac Maharaj said in a statement.
The presidency, however, did not disclose the names of the injured children, saying only that they were in stable condition after having been treated for various injuries.
It was not the first time for Zuma's family to be involved in an accident.
In 2014, the car of Zuma's son collided with a minibus taxi, resulting in the death of a passenger.
