Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced that an administrative fine of 1 billion 609 million 466 thousand 742 lira was imposed on 1,713 fake workplaces employing unregistered and fake insured workers. Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan stated in a post on his social media account, "We are meticulously continuing our efforts to protect employee rights, ensure the sustainability of working life, and improve working conditions. We are preventing rights violations by conducting inspections at workplaces through our Social Security Institution. It should not be forgotten that the protection of social security rights is the guarantee of a safe working life. We are diligently working to secure working conditions and conducting comprehensive inspections. In the first 10 months of 2024, 100,500 workplaces were inspected. 1,713 fake workplaces were identified. 17,284 unregistered workers were detected. 67,398 fake insured workers were identified. An administrative fine of 1 billion 609 million 466 thousand 742 lira was imposed," he stated.
