The Van Governorship announced that demonstrations and open-air meetings have been banned for a period of 10 days. In a statement made by the governorship, it was expressed that it is planned to prevent actions and attacks that are deemed to directly and explicitly create the conditions for restrictions and prohibitions foreseen in the Constitution and laws. It was stated in the announcement that the aim is to ensure the safety of citizens' lives and property, to thwart the plans of terrorist organizations, to prevent crimes, to ensure the continuation of fundamental rights and freedoms, and to prevent incidents of violence: 10-DAY BAN ON DEMONSTRATIONS"Within the geographical boundaries of Van province, between November 29 and December 8, for a period of 10 days, except for those deemed appropriate by the Governorship and District Governorship, activities such as demonstrations, open-air and indoor meetings, press statements, sit-ins, setting up tents and stands, organizing signature campaigns, distributing leaflets, and any form of protest actions will be prohibited in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations No. 2911 and the relevant articles of the Provincial Administration Law No. 5442." ENTRANCES AND EXITS TO AND FROM THE PROVINCE AND DISTRICTS WILL BE MONITOREDIn the statement, it was stated, "During the specified dates, the entry and exit of individuals and groups who are likely to participate in any unlawful actions and activities from the districts, surrounding provinces, or using the route of our province will be prohibited in accordance with the provisions of Article 11 (c) of the Provincial Administration Law No. 5442, and it has been decided that passage from other provinces to our province using the specified route will not be allowed."
