The Governorates of Antalya, Bolu, and Adana have banned all forms of protest actions, press statements, and similar activities in Ankara between July 1-10, citing the NATO summit scheduled for July 7-8.
The Bolu Governorate announced that all forms of protests and press statements are banned in the city for 10 days between July 1 and July 10 due to the NATO summit to be held in Ankara.
NATO SUMMIT ALERT IN BOLU
Due to the NATO summit scheduled for July 7-8 in Ankara, security measures have been raised to the highest level across Bolu province by police and gendarmerie teams.
In a statement from the Bolu Governorate, it was noted that protests and press statements across the province are banned for 10 days, and the following expressions were included:
ALL ACTIVITIES BANNED
"Due to the 36th NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government to be held in Ankara on July 7-8, 2026, numerous foreign heads of state and government, representatives of international organizations, diplomatic delegations, and high-level public officials will be in Ankara, and it has been requested that security measures be raised to the highest level nationwide.
In this context, regarding the 36th NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government to be held, all kinds of marches, press statements, open or closed area meetings, protest actions, tent setups, sit-ins, booth openings, hanging of posters, banners, and posters, distribution of flyers and leaflets, distribution of brochures, signature campaigns, torch lighting, actions and activities, as well as the entry and exit of vehicles and individuals coming to support these actions within our province (including police and gendarmerie responsibility areas), are banned for a period of 10 days from 08:00 on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, to 23:59 on Friday, July 10, 2026, in accordance with Article 11 of Provincial Administration Law No. 5442 and Articles 17 and 19 of the Law on Meetings and Demonstration Marches No. 2911."
