In the "Huzur Istanbul" operation conducted in Istanbul, GBT checks were performed on 318,373 individuals. During the inspections, 1,018 people, including 563 wanted for various crimes, were detained. Unlicensed weapons, drugs, and money believed to be proceeds from crime were seized in the operation. In traffic inspections, 36 vehicles were impounded, and drivers were fined a total of over 4 million lira.
In the "Huzur İstanbul" operation conducted by the Istanbul Police Department across the city, 1018 people were detained, and a large number of weapons, drugs, and ammunition were seized.
The operation, coordinated by the Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch Directorate, was carried out in two stages. In the first stage, fixed road inspections were conducted at 195 points, while police helicopters and marine police units supported the efforts. In the second stage, public workplaces were inspected.
GBT OF 318 THOUSAND PEOPLE CHECKED
Within the scope of the operation, General Information Collection (GBT) queries were conducted for a total of 318,373 people. During the inspections, a total of 1,018 people, including 563 individuals sought for various crimes, were detained.
WEAPONS AND DRUGS SEIZED
In searches conducted by the teams, 12 unlicensed pistols, 5 rifles, 9 blank-firing pistols, 153 cartridges, 693 grams of drugs, 16 narcotic pills, and 12,925 lira believed to be proceeds from crime were found.
Additionally, while 549 public workplaces were inspected, administrative actions were taken against 5 people.
FINANCIAL PENALTIES EXCEEDING 4 MILLION LIRA
Traffic teams inspected 49,702 vehicles and 1,972 motorcycles. During the inspections, actions were taken against 2,782 vehicles and motorcycles and 30 drivers, while 36 vehicles were banned from traffic.
Within the scope of the operation, a total of 4,001,378 lira in traffic fines were issued to drivers.
