A search was conducted at the home of a suspect determined to be engaged in illegal animal trade in Kartal. During the searches, 134 live animals were seized, including geckos (a lizard species), snakes, tarantulas, and chameleons. The animals were taken under protection, while the suspect was fined.

An inspection was carried out in Kartal as part of the fight against illegal animal trade. As part of the work carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry teams and police teams, a search was conducted at the home of the person determined to be engaged in illegal animal trade.

ANIMALS TAKEN UNDER PROTECTION

During the searches, a total of 134 live animals were seized, including 79 eyelash geckos, 21 leopard geckos, 12 corn snakes, 1 python snake, 1 Mexican kingsnake, 2 tarantulas, 2 Madagascar geckos, 1 tegu and 15 chameleons.

While the animals were taken under protection, the suspect was fined within the scope of the relevant legislation.
