MINISTRY HAS ADDED 16 DRUGS TO THE REIMBURSEMENT LIST

An announcement came from the Ministry of Health that particularly concerns cancer patients. The ministry announced that 16 drugs, including those used in the treatment of cancer, have been added to the reimbursement list.

5 ARE USED IN THE TREATMENT OF CANCER

In a statement made on the Ministry of Health's social media account, it was stated: "With the regulation published in the Official Gazette, an update has been made to the drugs on the reimbursement list. 16 drugs used in the treatment of many diseases have been added to the reimbursement list. Of these drugs, 8 are domestically produced and 5 are used in cancer treatment. The number of drugs that can be prescribed by our family physicians and are included in the reimbursement list has been increased. The scope of drug reports that can be arranged by our family physicians and internal medicine specialists has been expanded.

"FAMILY PHYSICIANS WILL BE ABLE TO PRESCRIBE BASED ON THE REPORT"

In this context; the renewal of reports for some anticoagulants, formulas and foods used in celiac disease, some drugs used in the treatment of seasonal or year-round allergic rhinitis, and lipid-lowering drugs (after the initial diagnosis made by relevant specialist physicians) can be done by family medicine specialists. All family physicians will be able to prescribe based on the report.

Some blood pressure medications, artificial tears and eye drops, shampoos and creams used for skin diseases can be prescribed by family physicians without a report within specified periods. The report renewal periods for some drugs requiring a specialist physician's report due to chronic illness have been extended. We wish all our citizens well."
