During archaeological excavations carried out in the Bolvadin district of Afyonkarahisar, thermal spring ruins estimated to date back 2,000 years were uncovered.

In archaeological excavations carried out in the Durayeri area of Bolvadin district, hot spring remains dating back approximately 2,000 years have been unearthed. The remains are considered to indicate that the district's thermal springs were also used in ancient times.

DATING WORK CONTINUES

In the studies conducted by Konya Selçuk University faculty member and Head of the Üçhöyük Excavation Prof. Dr. Özdemir Koçak and his team, examinations are continuing on the structural remains that could shed light on the region's historical past.

With the completion of scientific examinations and dating work, it is aimed to obtain new information about the architectural features, period of use, and function of the structures. The remains are expected to contribute to the promotion of Bolvadin's historical and cultural heritage as well as its thermal tourism potential.
