Turkish security forces arrested Saturday two Daesh-linked terror suspects in southern Hatay province, a security official said.
The suspects -- one of them a Moroccan citizen -- were arrested in Hatay's Kirikhan district after they reportedly illegally crossed into Turkey from Syria.
The security forces also seized fake ID cards and the passports belonging to the suspects, who were later sent to the local court.
Turkish security forces have been involved in a long-running campaign to thwart Daesh attacks.
More than 300 people have lost their lives in Daesh attacks in Turkey so far, where the terrorist organization has targeted civilians in suicide bombs, rocket and gun attacks. -
