Two suspects were detained in Esenyurt in connection with the murder of Hakan Uğur, who lost his life after being attacked with a firearm by two people on a motorcycle in front of his workplace in Küçükçekmece, Istanbul, on October 6. While the moment of the attack was captured by a security camera, it was determined that the murder was committed due to a debt issue. The suspects, who did not accept the accusations, were referred to the courthouse.
In Küçükçekmece, two suspects were taken into custody in the investigation into the armed attack in which Hakan Uğur was killed by 2 people on a motorcycle. While the moment of the murder was reflected in security camera footage, it was determined that the suspects carried out the attack due to a debt issue.
The incident occurred on October 6 in Kanarya Neighborhood. Hakan Uğur, who was waiting in front of his workplace with his friend, was seriously injured in the armed attack by 2 people who arrived on a motorcycle. Uğur, who was taken to hospital by those around, could not be saved despite the interventions.
MOMENT OF MURDER ON CAMERA
In the work initiated by teams of the Homicide Bureau, it was determined that the moment of the attack was recorded by security cameras. In the footage, one of the 2 suspects who came on a motorcycle was seen fleeing rapidly after opening fire. Police teams examining the footage identified the suspects.
THEY WERE CAUGHT IN ESENYURT
Teams of the Public Order Branch Directorate, following work carried out in coordination with the Intelligence Branch Directorate, detained the 2 suspects in an operation organized in Esenyurt. It was learned that the suspects, who were interrogated at the Public Order Branch Directorate, did not accept the accusations in their statements.
In the work carried out, it was determined that the murder was committed due to a debt issue. The suspects were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station.
