A fire alarm going off in a 20-story building in Kayseri caused panic. After the alarm, residents rushed out into the street, and numerous fire, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. While no fire was detected during inspections, the sensor giving a false alarm for the third time drew reactions from the residents.
A fire alarm that went off in a 20-story apartment building in Kayseri's Kocasinan district caused brief panic. Hearing the alarm sounds, residents rushed outside while numerous teams were dispatched to the scene.
TEAMS MOBILIZED
The incident occurred on Seher Street in the Sahabiye neighborhood, in the 20-story building. Upon the fire alarm activating for an unknown reason, police, health, and fire department teams were directed to the area.
Residents living in the building also went out to the street as a precaution when the alarm sounded. Police teams took security measures around the area, while fire crews conducted detailed inspections at various points of the building.
NO FIRE OCCURRED
As a result of the teams' checks, no fire or negative situation was detected in the building. After informing the residents of the situation, they breathed a sigh of relief and returned to their homes.
"THIS IS THE THIRD TIME"
Residents who noted that the fire sensor had given false alarms twice before reacted to the situation. One resident, stating that all building occupants came downstairs when the alarm sounded, said, "This is the third time this fire alarm has gone off. There is no fire, but it triggers. Fire crews come, check, but no fire occurs. This time, we don't know why it went off either." After the inspections were completed, the teams left the area.
