Some 26 suspects were arrested in anti-drug operations across Turkey on Tuesday, according to security sources.
In the northwestern Tekirdag province, the police narcotics crimes control bureau apprehended 16 suspects on charges of drug trafficking and use, said the sources, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media.
Separately, anti-drug teams apprehended five suspects as part of operations against drug smuggling across the central Konya province. During the operation, more than 31,000 pills were seized.
Moreover, police and gendarmerie rounded up five people in the Aegean Aydin and the southeastern Mardin provinces for alleged drug production and trafficking. -
