During a risk analysis at Istanbul Airport, an Iranian national passenger who displayed suspicious behavior and had difficulty walking was stopped, and 380 grams of methamphetamine in 26 capsules were removed from his stomach. STOPPED DUE TO DIFFICULTY WALKING
On June 27, as part of operations against the crime of 'manufacturing and trafficking of narcotic or stimulant substances,' teams from the Istanbul Police Department Narcotics Crime Prevention Branch stopped Iranian national F.J. (51), who had entered Turkey from Iran, at Istanbul Airport after he exhibited suspicious behavior and had difficulty walking during risk analysis and physical surveillance.
CAPSULES FOUND IN STOMACH
Suspicious that the suspect had drugs in his stomach, the teams referred F.J. to the hospital. Following checks and medical intervention at the hospital, a total of 380 grams of methamphetamine concealed in 26 capsules was seized from the suspect's stomach.
ARRESTED
F.J., who was taken into custody, was arrested by the court on July 7 after police procedures and sent to prison.
