Four people were detained in Diyarbakır in connection with the hanging of terrorist organization posters in some back streets. The governorship stated that the incident was isolated and that similar illegal acts would not be tolerated.
The Governorship of Diyarbakır made a statement regarding social media posts claiming that 'posters of terrorist organization members' were hung on various streets in the city.
4 PEOPLE DETAINED
In the governorship's statement, it was noted that the poster-hanging incident was an "isolated event" and that 4 people identified as having carried out the act were taken into custody.
In the statement made by the governorship: "In response to the posts on social media platforms regarding posters of terrorist organization members being hung on some streets in Diyarbakır, it has been deemed necessary to make the following statement: The fight against crime and criminals, especially the fight against terrorism, continues decisively in Diyarbakır. The hanging of posters of terrorist organization members on a few side streets is an isolated incident, and a situation widespread across the province is certainly out of the question."
The statement also emphasized the "process," using the expressions: "No tolerance will ever be shown to these and similar illegal acts aimed at infecting the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process."
