The Çanakkale Municipal Council meeting resulted in a decision to increase water prices by 50%.

A 50% increase in water prices has been implemented in Çanakkale. The decision was passed by a majority vote in the Municipal Council. The third meeting of the Çanakkale Municipal Council's regular session in November was held under the chairmanship of President Muharrem Erkek. In addition to the agenda items, the 2025 Financial Year Fee Schedule and the Financial Budget and Performance Report for 2025 were discussed.

50% INCREASE IN WATER PRICES

It was decided to increase water consumption fees in the city as part of the 2025 Financial Year Fee Schedule. Accordingly, for mechanical meters in residences, the fee for water consumption of 0-10 cubic meters has increased by 50% to 25 lira and 91 kuruş per ton, while for 11-30 cubic meters of water consumption, it has risen by 30% to 28 lira and 98 kuruş. For smart meters, the fee per ton has become 24 lira and 91 kuruş with a 50% increase.

The 2025 Financial Year Fee Schedule and the Financial Budget and Performance Report for 2025 were accepted by a majority vote of the council members.
