Bad news has arrived for driver candidates planning to obtain a driver's license. With the new year, the wave of price increases has also affected driving courses. In 2025, the fees for the driver's license exam increased by 60 percent. In the message sent by the driving schools, it was stated that the increased fee must be paid: "Dear candidates, the fee for unsuccessful candidates determined for the new practical exam code has been set at 4,000 TL. We kindly request that candidates who do not deposit their fees by January 7 deposit their fees, and those who deposit at the old price complete their fee." Course officials stated that these increases are implemented in accordance with the tariffs set by the Ministry of National Education. Driver candidates pointed out that not only the exam fees but also the registration fees have increased every year, indicating that obtaining a driver's license has become a luxury.
