A fire broke out in the district of Çorlu in Tekirdağ, causing damage to 600 hectares of agricultural land, including 300 hectares of wheat fields. The gendarmerie has initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.

In the fire that broke out in Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, 600 hectares of agricultural land, including 300 hectares of wheat fields, were damaged.

A fire broke out in a wheat field in Sarılar Village, rural area of Çorlu district, today around 14:00. The fire quickly grew with the effect of the wind. Villagers intervened with tractors and water tanks against the flames, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the area upon notification. With the intervention of the teams and villagers, the flames were brought under control within 1 hour. 300 hectares of wheat fields and 600 hectares of agricultural land were damaged in the fire.

The gendarmerie has initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
