7.4 magnitude earthquake in Chile! No tsunami warning issued, no loss of life or property.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 occurred in the north of Chile, a South American country. Although the tremor caused great fear, no loss of life or property has been reported so far, and no tsunami warning has been issued.

NO TSUNAMI WARNING ISSUED

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) announced that the epicenter of the earthquake was in San Pedro de Atacama, a region of Antofagasta. The earthquake, with a magnitude of 7.4, was recorded at a depth of approximately 117 kilometers. Despite the earthquake, no loss of life or property has been reported, and no tsunami warning has been issued.

CAUSED GREAT PANIC AMONG THE PEOPLE

It was reported that the earthquake was also felt in the southern regions of Peru, Tacna, and Arequipa, causing panic among the people. The National Disaster Prevention and Response Service (Senapred) stated that the possible damages caused by the earthquake are being evaluated. The Navy Hydrography and Oceanography Service (SHOA) announced that the necessary conditions for a tsunami warning along the Chilean coast have not been met.
