The Ministry of Trade Customs Enforcement teams seized 721 kilograms of liquid methamphetamine at the Gürbulak Customs Gate. According to a written statement from the Ministry; as a result of risk analysis and targeting studies conducted by the Gürbulak Customs Enforcement Smuggling and Intelligence Directorate teams within the scope of combating narcotic crimes, a truck arriving at the Gürbulak Customs Gate was found suspicious and placed under scrutiny. In the X-Ray scan of the vehicle and a detailed search conducted with the narcotic dog 'Kont', 721 kilograms of liquid methamphetamine was found hidden in various compartments of the vehicle's fuel tank. The market value of the seized drugs is estimated to be 2 billion 612 million lira. An investigation related to the operation is being carried out by the Doğubayazıt Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
30 TONS OF DRUGS SEIZED IN 2025
Moreover, since the beginning of 2025, a total of 30 tons and 100 kilograms of various types of drugs, valued at 40 billion 30 million TL, have been seized and destroyed at customs.
