Chiba Prefecture officials reported that a total of 8 people died and 4 others were slightly injured in incidents in the cities of Chiba, Kashiwa, Ichikawa, Sakura, and Yachiyo.
AUTHORITIES WARNED THE PUBLIC TO BE CAUTIOUS
While the highest-level emergency warning issued for the region due to the risk of severe rainfall and landslides was lowered to lower levels as of this morning, calls were made for the public to be cautious against possible further rainfall.
