An 8-year-old girl named Elif Korkut went missing while on a picnic with her family in Şırnak. Search efforts in the area led to the discovery of Elif's lifeless body in the Hezil River.
Elif Korkut (8), who went for a picnic with her family near the Çalışkan town in the Silopi district of Şırnak, went missing after a while.
HER BODY WAS FOUND IN THE RIVER
The family, unable to reach their daughter, found Elif motionless in the river while searching the area. Health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region upon notification. Elif, who was pulled from the water, could not be saved despite the doctors' efforts after the first intervention at Silopi State Hospital.
AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED
The body of Elif Korkut was taken to the hospital morgue for autopsy. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
