The 115-year-old German giant Master Builders, one of the world's largest construction chemicals companies, has acquired a 51% stake in the Turkish company MBT Teknik Yapı Kimyasalları. The company has over 1,600 employees and operates 36 facilities in various regions around the world.

The German giant Master Builders Solutions, one of the world's leading manufacturers of construction chemicals, has reached an agreement to acquire a majority stake in the Turkish company MBT Teknik Yapı Kimyasallar.

This strategic partnership aims to create a significant transformation in Turkey's construction sector. While Master Builders Solutions is a globally recognized brand in the construction chemicals industry, MBT Teknik holds a strong position as one of Turkey's leading companies in the sector.

ALL EYES ON THE COMPETITION AUTHORITY

With a history of 115 years, the German giant will hold the control of the company by acquiring 51% of MBT Teknik. The remaining 49% stake will remain with the current partners: Murat Erberdi, Beran Beran, Mansur Bayrak, Hamza Mert Bayrak, Lut Sungur, Ali Rıza Sungur, Gürsel Baran, and Musa Can Baran. The approval of the Competition Authority is required for the completion of the agreement. After the approval, a significant strategic power will emerge from the merger of the two companies.

Master Builders Solutions was founded in 1909 in Mannheim, Germany, and has drawn attention with its innovative solutions in the industry. The company has 36 facilities globally and over 1,600 employees. In 2023, Master Builders generated a revenue of around 1 billion euros and aims to further increase its impact in the Turkish market with this new partnership. This collaboration will offer significant opportunities, especially for the construction sector in Turkey, and will enable the development of next-generation solutions.

"WILL ENSURE GROWTH IN THE SECTOR"

Beran Beran, a member of the Board of Directors of MBT Teknik, stated regarding the partnership, "This collaboration will promote innovation and growth in Turkey's construction sector and will allow us to offer more advanced solutions to our customers." Boris Gorella, CEO of Master Builders Solutions, also emphasized that entering the Turkish market is a great opportunity for them and expressed his belief that this partnership will contribute to growth strategies in the sector.

This sale and partnership not only allow a global player to step into Turkey's construction sector but also provide MBT Teknik with the opportunity to achieve a stronger position internationally.
