In the Besni district of Adıyaman, it was revealed that 17-year-old Fatma Koçak, who was found in 2014 with a single gunshot wound to her abdomen and was claimed to have committed suicide, was actually killed by her biological mother and step-sibling. The mother and step-sibling, previously arrested and released, have been arrested again.

THEY WERE HELD IN PRISON FOR 1.5 YEARS
Following the incident, Fatma Koçak's mother and step-sibling, who were arrested in 2014, were released after being held in prison for 1.5 years. After the case became a public prosecution, the Supreme Court ruled that the sentence was insufficient and decided on a retrial.
THEY WERE RE-ARRESTED
After the Supreme Court's decision, the Kahta Republic Prosecutor's Office took action and reopened the file. As a result of police investigations, it was determined that Fatma Koçak did not commit suicide but was a victim of murder. Following detailed work by the teams, the suspects in the incident, mother Ayşe G. and step-sibling Kadir K., were taken into custody by police teams.
The detained mother Ayşe G. and her step-brother Kadir K., after the procedures were completed at the police station, were taken to the Besni Courthouse where they were brought before a court, arrested, and sent to prison.
SHE FLED AFTER GETTING MARRIED
According to claims, it was learned that Fatma Koçak, whose father had passed away and who lived with her mother Ayşe G. and step-brother Kadir K., decided to marry B.A.K. from Nevşehir, whom she met through a relative. Due to her young age, she officially married B.A.K. with her mother's approval and a court decision on March 11. As a result of the teams' investigation, it was determined that Fatma Koçak went to Nevşehir after getting married and later fled from her husband and came to the Gölbaşı district of Adıyaman. It was determined that after returning home, following an argument, Fatma Koçak was shot by her step-brother with a shotgun.
